Who Is Park Sang-hyo, the Girlfriend of South Korea's Rising Football Star Lee Kang-in?

Park Sang-hyo, who inherits part of the wealth from the South Korean multinational corporation Doosan Group, has been making headlines lately for her high-profile appearances with soccer sensation Lee Kang-in at significant sporting occasions.

Park grabbed attention when she was seen with the PSG celebrity at the Roland Garros in May. Their loving display during this significant tennis tournament signified their first public appearance as a pair.

Once more, she grabbed the spotlight during the French Cup final. Although Lee did not play in the match, he celebrated with his teammates on the pitch. In the midst of the commotion, Park was seen standing next to him, capturing pictures on the field—a special permission typically granted only to players’ families or very close friends.

After the Champions League final, where PSG trounced Inter 5-0 to win the championship, the duo once more gained widespread attention online. The young celebrity, who is 24 years old, was spotted holding hands with Park and later made a romantic move by placing his gold medal around her neck.

Park was born in 1999 and is two years senior to Lee. As part of one of South Korea’s leading commercial dynasties, she comes from an illustrious background. Her grandfather, the late Park Yong-sung who served as the ceremonial 7th chairperson at global enterprise group Doosan, raised her alongside her father, Park Jin-won, currently holding the position of vice-chairman for Doosan Bobcat Korea.

According to Forbes, the company reported revenues of $14.6 billion in 2024.

Often referred to as a fifth-generation chaebol heiress, Park is currently pursuing a master's degree in Paris. Fluent in both English and French, she has maintained a low public profile until her relationship with Lee came to light, Chosun reported.
