Pramac: Razgatlioglu's Signing "On the Table" as Team Considers MotoGP Moves

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu and Yamaha are nearing a deal that would see the two-time World Superbike champion join MotoGP in 2026.

Multiple sources have reported the details of this agreement—including the rider’s manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, who states he has already inked a contract set to "please everyone" and will soon be publicly disclosed.

Although the specifics of the agreement are still undisclosed, evidence points towards Razgatlioglu joining MotoGP with Pramac, Yamaha’s supporting squad, which presently operates under the Yamaha banner. Miguel Oliveira — contracted until 2026 — and Jack Miller , whose deal expires at the end of this season.

In this situation, the main concern is that Miller might lose his position, as both Yamaha and Pramac remain eager to extend contracts with the Australian rider, thus causing further delay.

“From the start of the season, Jack has shown great aggression and control on this bike — he likes it, he feels very comfortable with the team, and he’s making the most of the bike, which is great for both Pramac and Yamaha,” explained Gino Borsoi, Pramac team manager, told DAZN. “He’s helping in the bike’s development and doing a fantastic job.”

Miller’s renewal could put Oliveira’s future at risk, despite the Portuguese rider having a contract in place for next season.

Oliveira's season has been hindered by a significant injury sustained during the Argentine Grand Prix when he got struck by Fermin Aldeguer The accident kept him out of the Sunday race at Termas and the subsequent three events in the United States, Qatar, and Spain, with his return coming during the French round.

This obstacle has placed the Portuguese cyclist in 23rd place in the championship rankings, potentially jeopardizing their season.

“Oliveira was very unlucky with the crash and the fracture early in the season. He’s gradually regaining his pace, but MotoGP is not easy — it takes time to get back up to speed,” Borsoi added.

Neither Yamaha nor Pramac is eager to request a contracted rider to vacate their position, which is why they are working towards finding an arrangement beneficial for everyone involved.

“The Toprak issue is on the table,” Borsoi said, when asked directly about Razgatlioglu.

“Obviously Yamaha is very involved in this. We’re talking, but we have contracts with both riders. It's true that Jack's contract expires at the end of the year, but he's doing very well. I think, out of respect for our riders, we should first evaluate his performance and only then make a more concrete decision.”

Toprak’s lucrative sponsorship deal with Red Bull — for whom he is the biggest ambassador in his country — prevent him from joining the Yamaha factory team, which is backed by Monster Energy, a direct competitor of the Austrian brand.
