Ottawa County couple indicted in child sex abuse material case

A husband and wife in were indicted on child sexual abuse material charges on Wednesday.
According to court documents, Jason Schlipf, 36, and his wife, Kati Schlipf, 37 were indicted in the Ottawa County Common Pleas Court after facing numerous felony charges regarding child sexual abuse materials.
A grand jury found enough evidence to determine that Jason Schlipf should be charged with 26 felony charges, 25 of which were second degree felonies of pandering sexually-oriented materials of a minor.
Kati Schlipf was also charged with 26 felony charges, 25 of which were fourth degree felonies of pandering sexually-oriented materials of a minor. Additionally, both were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, which is a third degree felony.
According to the Ottawa County Major Crimes Unit, the investigation into the couple began after a CyberTip came in from the Tiffin Police Department. According to authorities, the two uploaded suspected child sexual abuse material to an online platform.
Following the investigation, law enforcement executed a search warrant at the residence of the two, where a number of electronics were seized.
