SAO PAULO, June 7 -- The Brazilian football federation declared on Friday that Davide Ancelotti has become part of his father Carlo Ancelotti's coaching staff with the five-time FIFA World Cup winners as their assistant coach.
In 2015, Davide Ancelotti began his coaching journey as an assistant under his father at clubs including Napoli, Everton, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, according to AP news.
The Brazilian football organization stated in a release that the signing of 35-year-old Davide Ancelotti "marks an additional move in our pursuit of innovation and skill enhancement."
"His global expertise and coaching methods will be crucial for the players’ growth and for building a even more competitive squad," the statement read.
Carlo Ancelotti's first match as manager of Brazil against Ecuador concluded in a scoreless tie on Thursday, leaving the team in fourth position within the South American World Cup qualification rankings. His son, Davide Ancelotti, is anticipated to serve as assistant coach from the sidelines during their next game on Tuesday, where they will face third-placed Paraguay at home.

Initially, Davide Ancelotti pursued a career similar to his father's by playing professional soccer with AC Milan’s youth squad before moving on to Borgomanero. However, he decided to retire from active play at the age of 20 to venture into management instead. Ancelotti has also earned a degree in sports science.
In 2012, Davide Ancelotti began his coaching journey as a fitness coach at Paris Saint-Germain. From 2013 to 2015, he held a comparable role at Real Madrid. In 2016, he took up his first assistant manager post at Bayern Munich before moving on to assist at the clubs where his father was previously in charge.
