Six tornadoes confirmed across western Missouri counties during May 19 storm outbreak

The National Weather Service has confirmed six tornadoes struck parts of western Missouri on Monday, with storms hitting Buchanan, Henry, St. Clair, and Benton counties.
The tornadoes, all rated EF-0 or EF-1, caused scattered damage to trees, power lines, barns, and one mobile home, but no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Sign up for our NewslettersThe strongest winds were recorded in St. Clair County near Lowry City, where an EF-1 tornado reached estimated peak winds of 110 mph.
The storm traveled more than three miles and was part of a cluster of severe weather moving across the region Monday evening.
In Benton County, three separate EF-1 tornadoes were confirmed.

One tornado near Racket, just east of the Henry-Benton County line, damaged a mobile home, snapped trees, and damaged outbuildings.
Two additional tornadoes were surveyed near Palo Pinto and West Lincoln. Near Palo Pinto, the tornado tore through barns, downed power lines, and peeled the roof off a home.
In West Lincoln, three barns were damaged, and numerous trees were uprooted or snapped along the storm’s 4.39-mile path.
Henry County saw an EF-1 tornado touch down near Tightwad around 7:15 p.m.
The storm had a maximum wind speed of 105 mph and traveled more than three miles.
No structural damage or injuries were reported in the Henry County storm survey.
In Buchanan County, an EF-0 tornado with maximum winds of 85 mph touched down around 8:31 p.m. and traveled 4.3 miles. No damage or casualties were reported.
