Letters to the Editor: Why President Trump’s Alignment With Project 2025 Makes Perfect Sense

To the editor Anyone who is shocked by how closely the policy directions set forth during the Trump administration align with those promoted by the far-right group known as Project 2025 wasn’t really keeping up with Trump’s fascist leanings that he displayed throughout his campaign and which form the core tenets of Project 2025. Regardless of whether it's part of his strategy or not, Trump's current policies strongly match those of Project 2025. On May 9), it should come as no surprise that candidate Trump denied any connection between them. After all, he has consistently been a habitual liar both in the past and present.

To the editor My main concern with this piece is that I lost track of how frequently it employed the term "liberal" to characterize those opposing President Trump or his initiatives under Project 2025. Perhaps "pro-democracy" would be a better alternative?

To the editor That Trump likely exaggerated his involvement with Project 2025 should elicit an enormous "no surprise." However, the genuine issue lies in the media failing to scrutinize this document and expose what life could look like under its implementation. As mentioned in your article, a community monitoring initiative suggests that up to 40% of Project 2025’s proposals might already be underway.

After a lengthy presidential campaign followed by elections half a year ago and an inauguration three months prior, Project 2025 is at last receiving some clarification. Unfortunately, it feels like too little, coming far too late. Among all the issues that genuinely pose threats to ordinary Americans and the nation as a whole, we barely received a comprehensible narrative surrounding this document.
