CryptoScope posed multiple queries to the candidates about their stances on both local and national issues.

1. How will you work to reduce rising tax hikes in every budget?

I will consistently seek equilibrium between cost-effectiveness and guaranteeing that Hatboro-Horsham students receive top-notch opportunities.

2. How will cuts to the federal Department of Education impact local school districts?

This answer is unknown at the moment. We certainly rely on some federal funding, but I can assure the community that our slate of five will do everything in our power to make sure that our students' well being isn't compromised by these cuts.

3. What education background will you bring to the position?

I have my Master's in Education and have been a teacher for 20 years, so I feel I'm uniquely qualified to make decisions through the lens of an educator.

4. What are the biggest challenges for the school district in the future?

I have not served on the board (yet), so I cannot say with certainty what the biggest challenges will be. However, many students across America are facing similar problems. I will look at the research by Jonathan Haidt ("The Anxious Generation") and Richard Reeves ("Of Boys and Men"), as well as my 20-year experience teaching high school age students, to inform my opinions about the biggest challenges.
