Kansas City, Kansas crash leaves motorcyclist dead Sunday evening

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department says they’re investigating a deadly crash on Sunday evening.

KCKPD says that around 6:45 p.m., officers were called to the area of South 18th Street and Merriam Lane on a reported crash. When those officers arrived, they found one man dead in the road.

Investigation shows that the victim was heading westbound on Merriam Lane on a motorcycle when he attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him. It caused him to strike an oncoming vehicle making a left turn onto 18th Street, according to KCKPD.

KCKPD says that their investigation is now ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the crime stoppers TIPS hotline at (816 474-8477.
