Joe Biden's Prostate Nodule Detected in Routine Check-Up: Report Reveals

Joe Biden has a "tiny lump" on his prostate.

A representative of the ex-president verified his medical condition in an official statement. ABC News on Tuesday, May 13.

They stated, "During a regular check-up, a minor lump was discovered in the prostate, prompting additional assessment."

The representative did not provide additional information; however, according to ABC News, it’s still too soon to ascertain if the lump resulted from inflammation or another cause, awaiting test results.

Biden, aged 82, shows no indications of health issues after his yearly check-up for 2024, as stated by his physician. that year's check-up "identified no new concerns."

"He continues to be fit for duty and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations," Dr. Kevin O'Connor wrote in a letter that February, which was reviewed for accuracy and approved by physicians in the White House Medical Unit.

In February 2023, O'Connor referred to Biden as a "fit" and "energetic 80-year-old." after the yearly exam, adding that he "remains fit for duty." The physician used similar language in a debrief after Biden's November 2021 visit , when the president additionally had a standard colonoscopy.

A change observed during the 2023 exam was a small lesion on the president's chest that was removed and sent out for a traditional biopsy. In a follow-up letter two weeks later, O'Connor wrote, "As expected, the biopsy confirmed that the small lesion was basal cell carcinoma. All cancerous tissue was successfully removed."
