Iowa Students Witness History: Pope Leo XIV's First Public Mass

Students from Loras College in Dubuque witnessed Pope Leo XIV's first Sunday blessing during their visit to the Vatican in Rome.
A bunch of students along with some faculty members traveled to Rome for visits to historical churches. On Sunday, they participated in an extraordinary Mass held at the Vatican. The majority had been en route to Europe when news broke about the Pope earlier in the week; however, three students got there ahead of schedule and happened to be enjoying dinner within Vatican City where they unexpectedly bore witness to this significant occasion.
