Exclusive: Farage Ridiculed for Omitting Liz Truss From List of Tories Who 'Betrayed Britain'

Nigel Farage has been mocked after Reform UK left Liz Truss from a list of Tory leaders who "damaged Britain"

The ex-prime minister, who served for just 49 days in office, stood out due to her noticeable omission from a Reform party election flyer spotted by HuffPost UK.

The brochure features images of previous Prime Ministers from the Conservative Party. Theresa May , Rishi Sunak , Boris Johnson along with David Cameron, as well as the present leader Kemi Badenoch .

Beneath it reads: "After 14 years, theصندVMLINUXIntialized Conservatives Impoverished Britain. Their track record in office should not be overlooked."

However, Truss’s absence from the lineup has sparked curiosity, particularly because Farage notably commended the failed mini-Budget of 2022, which destabilized the economy and concluded her tenure as prime minister.

Farage was also roasted by Keir Starmer Last month, as rumors circulated that Truss was consulting with Reform UK.

Meanwhile, a Reform UK “manifesto” published by Farage in the Daily Mail last Saturday also drew unfavourable comparisons with Truss’s time in office.

Mike Tapp, the Labour The Member of Parliament for Dover and Deal stated: "It defies comprehension how Nigel Farage is allowing Liz Truss to evade responsibility entirely on his pamphlets."

“As he parades his new Truss-style unfunded ‘manifesto’, it appears he’s forgotten her disastrous mini-Budget crashed the economy and sent people’s mortgages soaring.

Maybe Nigel Farage believes her tenure was successful. He’s emulating her strategy of economic destruction and supporting her legacy. This is like spitting in the face of those who continue to suffer from the consequences of her irresponsible leadership.

“The toxic Truss-Farage partnership would need nothing short of a disaster for Britain.”

Reform UK has been contacted for comment.
