Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 Near Georgia-Tennessee Border: Authorities Respond

The Tennessee Highway Patrol attended to a severe, multivehicle accident on Interstate 75 close to the Tennessee-Georgia border on Sunday, reporting that multiple people died.

The accident included six cars and a semi-truck, with authorities stating that two of the vehicles were engulfed in flames following the collision.

The overall death toll has not been disclosed yet.

The accident took place in East Ridge, Tennessee, which is a suburb of Chattanooga.

The East Ridge Police Department stated, "First responders focused on saving lives and conducted several rescues."

By 6:45 p.m., all patients had been moved to a nearby medical facility.
